Art Block is a crucial phase for every artist who wants to express their creativity. But what if we block the art block?
This is every artist's nightmare. The art block; a period of time when an artist cannot access their creativity and/or they cannot bring themselves to create a new piece of work. However, what makes art block? One of the two common reasons for art block is the fear of imperfection, you feel like you are not good enough to see an idea through. Many artists consider themselves perfectionists, which can prevent the pursuing of ideas or completing projects. The other common reason for art block is the fear to start at all. Several artists are afraid of an ugly start, it discourages them to continue because of the progress. But do not be afraid! It's normal, so it must be normal for us, too, to cope and adjust.

So how can you block an art block?
Just put something on the canvas. Give your canvas a little stroke so you can continue the mindless creativity.
Be inspired. Read, search, or watch something that can trigger your creativity. How about thinking about your crush? That's a good one to feel inspired.
Stop the comparison. You will not move forward if you're going to continue belittling your capability and skill. You are you, and you are unique.
Work with friends. Maybe you just need to cool down and be comfortable with your friends. Through this relaxation and comfort, you can be free from your art block.
Take a break. After trying those four but you didn't get to block your art block, maybe you are just tired at all. No biggie. Give yourself some time to heal. Take a relaxing time and after that, who knows? A masterpiece is coming your way.
Do not be afraid to start again or recreate something. The most significant things is the result. Be comfortable with your own progress. Own your skill.
